A SPECIAL HEALTH CARE SERVICE |
People want programs and services that keep them independent and safe in their homes. LIFELINE makes that possible. Our Society is a non-profit Personal Emergency Response Service that links people to 24-hour emergency help at the push of a button. We serve the residents of the eastern part of the Fraser Health Region, including Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission and Hope Hospitals. We also serve clients of Veteran Affairs, Workers Compensation and ICBC.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT (People Caring for Each Other)
|
Valley Alert Lifeline began serving the community in 1989. Partnerships with individuals, agencies and organizations are key to the LIFELINE program. We welcome community contributions, volunteers and client referrals.

HOW DOES FALL-DETECTION WORK? |
Valley Alert Lifeline offers Fall Detection technology. Sensors in the Fall Detection pendants monitor changes in your height and orientation during your daily routine. The Fall Detection pendants register movement, such as sitting in a chair or getting out of bed, as normal activity.
However, the Fall Detection automatically calls the Lifeline 24/7 Response Centre if you fall and do not get up after 30 seconds. This pendant is 95% accurate in detecting falls from a standing position. Ideal for seniors that live alone, people with a history of stroke, diabetes, seizures and other health conditions, which increases their risk of falling, benefit from the technology. |
We work with Veterans Affair, ICBC and others |
If you are a qualified veteran of the Canadain Armed Forces you may be eligible for assistance from Veterans Affairs Canada. Contact us or Veterans Affairs for more information on how to apply. We also work with ICBC and other insurers.
